Develop Decisions Consultancy ltd
Develop Decisions Consultancy Ltd
We are a team of consultants with extensive knowledge, skills and practical experience in decision making within the emergency services and armed forces. DDC team members have operated at front-line, tactical, strategic and executive levels of management, making timely decisions on risk-critical issues to safely and effectively resolve major incidents. Our team members are qualified and experienced in teaching and coaching these skills and techniques.
What we do
There are many decision-making models, theories and hypotheses to fill your managers’ heads with, leaving them confused and wondering what, how, when and where they can apply these in their daily roles. DDC will work with your managers to develop a bespoke decision-making strategy that improves your service delivery and support services effectiveness at the senior and middle manager levels. The purpose of DDC is to transfer the skills and techniques used by the Emergency Services to make timely decisions with limited information to the business environment.
We teach decision-making strategies specific to your organisation’s operations. Providing knowledge and understanding of how your decision-making strategy will support everyday tasks, investigation, debriefing etc. Enabling your managers to do it intuitively, timely and repeatedly. They do it logically and in a standardised way that their colleagues can follow and understand. They do it in a way that can be broken down into individual stages to be analysed, reviewed, and used to support organisational learning. They do it with flexibility and adaptability to suit any environment, and they do it in a way that can be quickly communicated through structured briefings.
How we do it
DDC will take your business through a three-step process to deliver organisation-specific decision making at middle, senior and executive levels of management within your organisation.
Step 1. Develop a company-focused decision-making model that creates and supports the link between the strategic direction of your organisation and the outcomes of your managers’ daily decisions at all levels.
Step 2. Deliver training in using the company-centred decision-making model to managers across your organisation, ensuring that understanding and applying the model becomes second nature when making decisions and communicating the rationale for those decisions.
Step 3. The provision of ongoing support ensures the embedding of the decision model throughout the organisation and the effective maximisation of the benefits within departments, including performance management, interviewing, investigations, identifying training needs and risk management.
